The Hall is available for long-term bookings only (ten weeks or more)

Hire terms:
St Augustine’s hall is part of the church premises and therefore comes under the Church of England’s faculty jurisdiction. It is let for community use only. It is not available for worship services by other churches, nor for religious services or religious instruction by other faiths.
The hall is not available for use for receptions, wakes or parties, whether for children or adults.
We are currently seeking long-term bookings only (ten weeks or more). Payment is required in advance for each term of hire. Hirers are asked to leave the hall clean and tidy.
Safeguarding & Compliance
Any group working with children, young people, or adults at risk must have a safeguarding policy in place and provide a copy on request.
All hirers must hold public liability insurance and provide a copy of their current insurance certificate to the church office before the first booking.
Current availability:
- Tuesday evenings (6.30pm – 10pm)
- Wednesday evenings (6.30pm – 10pm)
- Friday evenings (6.30pm – 10pm)
- Saturdays (8am – 7pm)
Due to a shortage of volunteers, the hall cannot be booked for short-term or one-off occasions, and bookings must be made for a minimum duration of ten weeks.


Measurements / capacity:
The hall measures 125 square metres.
It contains 80 chairs and 12 tables.
Hire charges:
- Mon-Fri: £30 per hour. Sat & Sun: £35 per hour.
- Kitchen use for catering beyond tea/coffee: an additional £30 per booking
- No storage facilities available
Facilities & Parking:
The hall is wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible lavatory in the adjoining lobby.
The accessible lavatory has baby-change facilities.
Please be advised that there is a small ridge between the lobby and the hall which wheelchairs users would need to be able to negotiate.
A small car park is available on site; spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that parking charges apply and are payable by hirers and their guests.

- Martial arts classes
- Drama groups or theatre rehearsals
- Anonymous groups (e.g. AA, NA)
- Choirs or music practice (non-amplified)
- Exercise classes (e.g. yoga, pilates, tai chi)
- Educational courses (non-religious) or tutoring groups
- Art or craft workshops

The PCC reserves the right to cancel a booking in unforeseen circumstances.
