At St Augustines we have a range for midweek services and groups to encourage each other in Christ and serve the community.
Communion service
Thursdays at 10am
We celebrate a small weekly Communion service on Thurdays at 10am in our Chapel, including a time of prayer for God’s healing, for us or for others. There is an opportunity to light a candle and to pray for those on our hearts and minds. The service lasts about half an hour, with a short homily.
We welcome visitors, toddlers, and any others who might like to drop in.
Following Holy Communion, we share tea / coffee and then enjoy a time of Bible Study at 11am.
Bible Study
Thursdays at 11am
The Bible Study group is currently reading through the Bible; we usually read a chapter or two each week, pausing to ask questions, ponder and learn together.
It’s informal and social, and we seek to learn from one another, as well as using commentaries when we get stuck.
Some people attend Holy Communion followed by Bible Study, and others come for Communion or Bible Study alone. Either is fine.
If you’re looking to ask questions about the Bible or to meet with others to learn about the Christian faith, you would be most welcome!
Spanish Classes
Thursdays at 12.30pm
We meet for just over an hour of beginner-level Spanish conversation and learning.
Spanish classes have been running for a year. Newcomers need to be equipped with the present tense and basic grammar
We ask for a small donation, if possible; monies raised go towards our organ fund.
